Information Montenvers Mer de glace

Opening of the Mer de Glace gondola lift, the Temple of Nature and the Glaciorium on All Saints' Day from 18/10 to 2/11 included.

A glaciologist will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day during this period to read the landscape and provide information on the Mer de Glace.

The Grotte de Glace is currently closed.

The famous little red train takes passengers from Chamonix (1035 m) to the Montenvers station (1913 m) in 20 minutes. On arrival, the view of the Mer de Glace is breathtaking, bearing witness to the effects of climate change.
